Poppy is a timid dog. She came from a puppy mill/backyard breeder. She is slowly building trust but recently had a setback when she escaped from a home and was on the run for at least 3 days. She will require an adopter who has the patience to help her overcome her fears. She might try to bolt out the door and the adopter will have to vigilant and take precautions when answering the door or when entering and exiting the home.
She is very sweet. Loves to be cuddled. Loves to go for walks. Likes playing with our volunteers in our kennels. Loves treats. Likes older kids and other small dogs. Doesn’t mind cats.
 She is house trained, but may have accidents in new surroundings or because of her fears.
