Christmas was dumped on Christmas day in a remote area. For 3 weeks a professional dog recovery worked to get him to safety. It was frigid and snowing for those 3 weeks and we really didn’t think he would survive. Finally after 3 long weeks, he was lured into a live trap. He came into our rescue where he spent time recovering, being neutered, and vaccinated.  Christmas (Chris) was then listed for adoption and we thought we found the perfect home. They cried when they saw him because they were so in love with him. Tragically just 3 weeks after being adopted they called and told us life was changing and they had no choice but to return him. During those 3 weeks in his “new home” Chris was an amazing boy we were told. He was perfectly house-trained, cuddly, loved his walks and was so well-behaved.

Chris is desperately seeking a new forever home. Imagine how devastating it is to be dumped in the snow and bitter cold, spend weeks terrified and alone… then to find a new home only to lose that home just 3 weeks later.

Chris is an amazing pup, he adapts to whatever life throws at him. He is loving, loyal, joyful and charming. Chris loves other dogs, he does well with older kids and would be ideal for someone who loves hiking, jogging, etc OR for someone who likes short walks and snuggles on the couch.

He is house-trained and crate-trained.
