Emmie has a lot of energy and would do best with an active person/family.
She loves going for walks and swimming. She would gladly swim all day long in the warmer temps.  She thinks she is a lapdog, loves sleeping in bed with you (usually right between your legs).
Emmie knows the commands- sit, stay, lay down, get back, go to the other room.

Emmie LOVES going to the vet. She thinks it's a day at the park.
Emmie loves other dogs, kids, and 99 % of the people she meets. Every now and then someone
will come into the house that she seems leery of and she will bark like a mad fool at them until they sit down. Then she is all over them, licking and looking for love.

If Emmie does bark too much all you have to do is show her a squirt bottle and she looks at you and 'says' aw crap, fine, I'll behave! . lol

Emmie is very well house trained, uses a doggy door. She is NOT able to be crated, she gets frantic, however she is well behaved when you are not home. She has not chewed or destroyed anything more then a magazine or flipflop. (she loves flipflops for some reason).

Emmie would love to have a playmate that is not yappy and not to small (she doesn't know her own strength when she plays), but having a playmate is not required.

Emmie gets nervous around power tools and lawn mowers and care should be taken to not use them around her. She can be put in another area of the house and will then be fine when they are in use or if you take your time and make sure to let her smell the tool and if small enough you can rub it on her like petting her with it and she does ok then.
She does bark at the vaccum but if you EH EH her or tell her enough, she will go away.

Emmie is a very special girl and we prefer she has an owner that knows boxers.
You won't find a more loyal, loving companion then Emmie.
